TOPIC: sea ray 1965 500 run about

Not a major restoration, but a nice transplant and facelift. The 1958 fat - fifty was upgraded to a 1961 75hp power head and lower unit. Still has the fat - fifty exterior. I rebuilt the Carb, made new ignition wires, converted from distriburor to magneto, replaces engine seals, replaced impellar, and replaced lower unit seals. Motor runs great and cruises at very relaxed 30 MPH GPS with a Max of 34 MPH, idles smooth and gear changes are quiet. With that success I went to work on the interior. Old seats were torn, sacked out, and rotted...not to mention, green. New Wise back to back seats in sand are now installed along with new aluminium trim replaceing the green vynel surrounding the genuine imitation wood grain side panels. New wiring throughout. New fuel tank with hose. Trailer has new winch, bunks, wire and lights, and wheel/tires. I can't wait to get her back on the water. One other thing in the future is a convertable top, $$$!

Thanks guys, I did alot of the interior while watching my twin three-and-a-half year old grandaughters this week while mom was on jury duty. In the water pics soon, maybe even some vidio.
