Not exactly sure what the story behind this boat is, soooo shaped like a lake'N sea but branded as a princecraft I give to you my first attempt at a glassic.

I got this boat for a great deal but the transom is toast so the plan is to separate the deck and the hull and replace the transom, the floor and possibly the stringers if need be, paint and gelcoat and whatever else I end up getting myself into.

I believe the trailer is a gator, and not pictured is a wicked cool looking fat fifty motor which i will be restoring also

Glad to see you got it!!!
The hull is definitely a Lake N Sea Biscayne and like I said Princecraft may have simply been buying the hulls from Parsons and re-branding them. The trailer is a Gator for sure and that motor was a winner, you just never find them complete with all the trim. The steering wheel is also a cool unit. I look forward to seeing the progress. I used to have a Biscayne and I ran a 35hp on it which was adequate for 2 people but a 50 would have been better with 4.

hey guys I'm just brainstorming how I plan to tackle the transom. what I've been kinda stuck on is when I seperate the hull from the deck the seam runs right through the middle of the transom, now I plan to epoxy the new transom and fibrglass it all in to the hull, but when I go to re install the deck will I also have to fiberglass the deck portion to the transom as well or just adhere it with some epoxy, just wondering what some of you guys have done in these situations? thanks

I have my dad's old princecraft capri and am looking for info on it. You seem to know something about princecraft boats. Can you lead me in the right direction. My son and I want to refurbish. Dad bought it second hand in the mid 60's. Thanx

Great combo, love the '59 Golden Jubilee Fat Fifty!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course I'm biased as that's what's currently pushing my boat.

Nice boat. My family had a pink Lake n Sea when I was growing up. Not a great color for a kid. Nice 50! I have one too, 59 Johnny.

I managed to wrestle the motor on the stand today, with the size of this thing it was no easy task haha but it fit good and its a nice solid base to start working on this thing

Got that 50 on the stand, looking good. I built the same stand and it is great. Including all the fasteners my '59 Johnny shroud had 61 parts! But it was definately worth every hour and dollar spent. I look forward to seeing your 50 going strong.

LOL, yeah a small block of wood that I put between the engine and the stand. Not the most scientific engineering but it worked ok. LOL
