TOPIC: Carlson Contender

Carlson Contender 4 years 10 months ago #141676

I snagged this old Carlson Contender in 2009 +/-. The transom was barely able to support the 650-4 for the trip home.
It's been a long slow process with lots of crazy modifications, but it is finally ready to get wet.
A lot of my project pictures are on a "thumb drive" that my 'puter no longer recognizes for some reason.

Pretty sweet... and over double the HP. I can see a rooster now just from surfacing a prop. That same model and color with a 100 used to run our creek river where I grew up and when I would hear that Merc tower clear under the train bridge, I would run out back to watch it run by. From up on the hill, it looked pretty sweet. That should be fun to drive.... enjoy your hard work!
