TOPIC: Dripless Shaft Seal

Dripless Shaft Seal 5 years 2 weeks ago #141293

Hi All. What are folks thoughts or, better yet, experiences with these? The stuffing gland is fine, drips as it should, but the hose is swollen and needs to be replaced. A friend recommends the PSS seal and they do seem pretty slick and less water in the bilge can only be good.

I don't mind the maintenance and adjustment of the traditional seal, its part of the old boat hobby, but the PSS do seem nice.
