I just pick this boat up from a guy who got it from his brother who got it from the current registered owner. The Title was lost so Im going through the steps to get a new title or a Bonded one.

This little boat is kind of simple so me being the newbie to boating thought what the heck! I have no stinkin idea what Im doing, but I believe that the things I need to do to it can be done rather cheaply.

I would appreciate any and all ideas and advice on this particular restore.

It has a 1963 Johnson 60HP Motor which has been set on top of a thick piece of wood that was cut to fit on top of where the smaller motor was mounted.

I would like to replace the cables, Throttle and Steering and get that old steering wheel cleaned and possibly powder coated so its white again. It shined up pretty well after washing and rubbing on it for a bit.

The other thing is that it needs new seats and I just got the new fuel lines and gas tank. Dont forget the plug! haha. Got one! ;)

So I have a couple photos and you can tell me what you think. Hope to see some responses before long. Thanks y'all! Name is Vinn

Sweet! I like it. I'm looking at a horn like that too; I think they look cool.

Why did you take the windshield off? Just curious.

Hey, Thanks for commenting on my post. The window had only been put in place for the photo. It was taken off when I bought it already. Im going to replace the window due to spider webs in the plastic. It way cloudy. I liked the look though when it was off. Ill reinstall after getting the new window ;)

The restoration has hit a speed bump. I am moving so I must wait and see if I can bring it with me. I hope to have it cleaned up and running great by next season. The lake is a block away, what a shame not to be able to get on the water. I can see it now. Gonna be great!

Yeah, man, I hear ya! My father-in-law has his own dock on the lake and we want to get ours out there too!

Did you call a local glass shop to get a replacement for the windshield or are you searching for a new old stock? Just curious because I think mine will clean up okay but I haven't paid much attention to it and was wondering what to do if it was ineffective.
