Should I just take pieces off this boat or is it worth saving?

I'd say it's worth saving. I've never seen one especially w the hard top, plus it's a very unique looking boat.

Almost looks like an Olds Vista Cruiser from the front, which works on the Olds but not here. Will that topper fit on a 1968 Cornbinder pickup?

I am not sure if the windshield is even right looking at the few pictures on the internet some of there boats have rounded windshield s and others flat glass but all of the rounded ones I have seen are one piece. The bottom of the glass or where it attaches is home made. I bought this one for pieces for the runabout I bought but the hull and floor seem extra solid. So not sure whether to scrape it or finish it. I would be kind of fun to have both the runabout was stored in a farm shop for years seems solid just the gel coat needs cleaning up. I have been polishing and waxing half done I rewired the trailer and need to repack the bearings. It needs seat cushions and it will about be done. The motor needs to run yet as well. I need a woodruff key for the flywheel to crank. It had good compression when I pulled it with the rope but when I hooked up a battery I broke the key it was a straight piece of keystock not a woodruff key. So the Viking would be a long project it had a running motor but the sterndrive outer leg is missing. Trailer looks good but would need tires. And the finnish is bad wore threw to the metal flake. So I guess a big sanding job and then paint. What is re gell coating? What kind of paint would one use? How much would a person use or need? If I decide to do this I would want good paint I would only want to do it once. So what is a high quality brand?

It looks to me that a po took a camper shell from a small pu truck, found a windshield that fit pretty well to that, then fashioned a way to mount it to the boat. If it were me, I'd take all that off and then decide whether to save the boat -- which would start with sourcing a new windshield, I think. Hull looks good.

I think I may have found a good donor boat the floor is rotted out has a windshield that will fit very similar to the stock one and it also has a Volvo Penta AQ 131C stern drive. Same horsepower as the factory mercury it is complete and seems to run well. Truth to work a deal on it. Best part is it is close by. Anything it should look close at?

Nice. Donor boat hull doesn't look too bad either.

Floor is rotted out. I would give anybody the hull if they wanted it. It is a fibre form 20 footer. The penta is the wrong one it came with a six not the four cylinder that I am taking out.
