TOPIC: 1957 Herters Rocket comes home

This is the one Del Van Emerick showed and restored several years back, he sold it to a man in Canada, He posted it on glassifies, I bought it, he brought it to a friend in Imlay city,Mich.. I was going to wait and pick it up when we went to St Clair show this week,, but Erik wasnt able to go so we now went up today,,also brought home a load of pontoon trailer that we sell,,so I am leaving in the morning to go to the show with the samoan,This boat has held up well,see ya Bill

Ahhh I remember that boat

Gee Bill, In those shots she looks as good as when Del finished her. Must not have seen much if any use. I have always liked that boat not just the design but the color combination is on of my favorites as well. Congrats on getting her. She might give Del an excuse to visit you.

Pretty Boat, Pic under the dash makes me winch since early spring I rewired my Winner.

Notice Del's eyes. He's asleep in a boat again! Whenever Diane is looking for him to work on the honey-do list, Del finds a boat to cat-nap in.

Glad to see you guys had a good time and a good turnout of glass boats in Michigan.
Del may take a quick catnap once in a while, but anyone that does as beautiful work on a restoration as he does, desrves a break now and then.
His Rocket was a masterpiece and I'm glad to see it in your collection.
