I believe that was the year they required the MIC (Hull ID #) to be stamped into the hull on the starboard side of the transom. My 1970 SRV 180 has the data plate located inside the starboard rear seat base on a metal plate about the size of a credit card. Your boat is larger (about a 24'?) but I would search that area.
