I go to make the maiden test of my 1982 SRV-270.
I have never driven 13000 pounds of boat and truck before.
It's been 51 nights working till midnight up t0 2 AM to get to this point.

Pray the 40 mile tow is uneventful and the sea trials go well..

Thanks You are are the best!

Wow - she's beautiful!
That is a heck of a load - hope all goes well - can't wait for the video :~)

What's the significance of the X?

It has no other significance other than it lends a air of mystery to the name and it's that unknown factor. Also it works because a X can sound like a Z

Just as I expected, the outside turned out just as beautiful as the inside! Awesome job Lady. Good luck and be careful, that IS a LOT of boat. (I know you'll do fine with it.) ;)

Lookin' good & good luck on the land & sea trials.

We are geetin' ready to move and I have been upgrading the 1999 electronics on our King Cat before it goes to Brazil. If your interested I have no need for this PinPoint 12" chartploter, BW display. It's a commercial marine computer with WIN98 OS & chartplotter software. It worked with the preloaded chart, I don't think it was ever used, the charts and some other program disks are still sealed from the factory. Have manuals

This 10" Raymarine chartploter (lower unit in pic), works, BW display, screen is discolored, can be bracket mounted (no bracket) Have manual.

Later this summer I'll have this Simrad low profile radar dome(still installed)

with Anritsu display (no? cable) in the pic above Raymarine chartploter. No manuals, seems to work, may need calibrated. Also a Raymarine auto pilot system but it will not work on your boat. You have helped others and might have a use. All I'm asking is postage, If you have no use I'll post in classifieds for the same price. I hate to throw out if someone can use it.

We don't have a scale but the RayChart 620 is just under 3.5 lbs www.raymarine.com/submittedfiles/handbooks/legacy_handbooks/navigation/chartplotters/raychart_620.pdf estimate the 2 at 8-9 lbs, $20 max. I'll ship with a satisfaction no money back guarantee...if not satisfied send no money back no problem...plugem in checkem out. I have no idea what they are "worth", in Brazil it's a lot and customs will nail me with import taxes thinkin' I'll sell em. Tomorrow I'll get to the box they have been stored in and can take pics of the back side connections. The RayChart has a Navionics Gold chip, part of FL I think. From time to time I see nice trade-in discounts on a new chip with an old chip. Looks like ya'll had agood time.

Thanks It was a lot of fun. I have some minor things to do like 2 bellows and a gimbel bearing, but other than that it is now a functioning boat. Not finished but are they ever finished?

I can start redoing the NC2 and the 1958 Rocket again.

What a smooth boat. It will be a classic before long.
Let's see,,,,,,, it's a 29 year old boat and will be 30 soon.

I'll get those out by mid week, have a couple things to mail. Mail to your contact info? No one I've spoke to here wants B&W, there has been a lot of used marine electronics around the past couple years. A little asking around and you can find some really good deals. Raymarine still sells the 620 so there must be a demand somewhere. I hope you can get some use out of them.

When we got the King Cat it was in NW FL and I needed to get it to SE FL. There were 3 chartploters on board, 2 needed cards that were sold out everywhere, the 3rd I could not load the charts at the time. I did find a DeLorme GPS antenna with a usb plug and a Maptach chart reader for PC, then downloaded all the charts before leaving home as a backup. When it came down to that the Mapteck would not detect the GPS with WIN Vista OS. Ended up plotting with the Maptech on charts then transfer route info to the free street atlas program that came with the DeLorme for a live position on the route line. That's how my 1st voyage started.

I've fixed the software conflict and been using a laptop with Maptech software works pretty well. The past year I've put together a sweet dual Raymarine 12" E-series system as a secondary. The primary system will be monitored by dual 22" HP Touchsmart flat panel PC's, 1 monitor of each system on each helm. They don't have the marine shore support in Brazil like here, so I want to have backups and backups for backups. Having the PC's will add some nice options for charters. The PC's have the same environment limits as the E12's except for the spill proof...so I just can’t spill a drink on the PC's.

Sounds like you have a nice up grade going on. It's like avionics. once they get a few years old, it's pass them down to the next person or haul them to the dump. I am great full to receive them and shall use them. After the money I have put in this thing I am about broke any way,..... So it's like an angel and a gift to me.

I don't remember what my contact info was... It should be correct.

If not send it to:

Spookeay Marine.
C.O Heather Babecki
Rt 3 Box 117
Goodwater ALABAMA 35072.

And I shall get your shipping cost back to you ASAP.
Thanks, your a hero and it got you a Karma point today!

OK Got the box today, thanks CAT*FIN*k Will have a check out to you Monday. Is there a way you can tell me what pins on the Ray Chart 620 are the positive and negative? I got the DSV-1200 working fine, the pin out was on the back but the 620 has no indication of pin outs.

I know the 3 pin for the SeaTalk is 1. 12Vdc+ (Red) 2. Ground (Silver or Black) 3. SeaTalk Data (Yellow). Looking at the pic I posted of the back 1. red/top 2. black or silver middle 3. yellow bottom.

The power plug was not used, the 620 was at the end of the SeaTalk with a 2nd GPS. All the NMEA 0183 sensors & 1st GPS were connected to a Raymarine high speed multiplexer that converts to the higher speed SeaTalk for the auto pilot. The DSV 1200 was tapped into a NMEA 0183 out on the multiplexer.
