After five years of use since my initial restore had to do a few things to get the Crosby back on the water for her 50th season!

Ditched the red interlux bottom paint and went to black semi gloss (rustoliem).

Cut down the wind shield 2.5 inches - due to a winter cover failure that caused a crack.

Also new (used lower unit due to a bearing failure.

We are back on the water and "Still Rockin"

Beautiful old Crosby there! Thanks for sharing, and welcome. Did you do the windshield tint? If so, how'd you go about it, looks great. Also would like to inquire about the side bolsters on your trailer. Store bought or "custom engineered" brackets.

Thats a sharp boat. I would like to tint my windshield but I can't bring myself to it. Don't wanna mess up the original look. But it sure looks good.

Thanks for the kind words, the windshield was reproduced from the original. I found a place in florida that did it.
cost about $400 if I recall.
If you searh the archives you may find a post with the vendor I am sorry I do not remember their name. I was a member before around 2005-2007. Same name with out a space 60Crosby.

The trailer is a Sterling, I think the bolsters were home made.
They are constructed out of angle iron.

I know what you mean I struggled to decide tint or no tint, but since my boat is not 100% original. I decided to give it a few modern updates.
This boat is used almost every day in the summer a lot of fun.
Thanks for the kind words.

Their sturdiness is what caught my eye. I would like to get a set for the Murray trailer under my Starflite, but most of the units on the market look pretty flimsy, IMO. I may just have to have some brackets made at a fab shop and do it myself. Thanks

Congrats on being on the cover of UPD's homepage, that's pretty cool! I've seen their stuff, very nice and reasonably priced.

That would be great, I'd like to get some design ideas. (Got a couple of friends who can weld.)
