Has anyone ever attempted an installation on the captioned product instead of paint or gelcoat? It looks like it may work on the topside and the interior.

One of my friends owns a sign shop that wraps cars and trucks for advertising purposes. Another friend decided to have his boat done in a wrap to see if it would be a quick way to improve how it looked. I was doubtful at first - but I'm amazed at how good it turned out, and it still looks great 3 years later. The wrap looks every bit as good as a professional paint job. Not sure if it will last 15 years, but so far, so good. It isn't cheap to have it done though.

My wife works for Johnson's window film. You need special tools and a 2-day class to learn how to wrap film. It's good to practice on other things before you attempt your final project. As far as looks, on a car it looks cool. On a boat, a little too "hip" for me.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll give it a try on the bow. Ordered two 5'x3' sheets. I'll do half red and half blue leaving the white center. There are videos online showing how to do the install. This project is about $100. If it comes out well I'll work out a scheme to wrap the rest of the topside and interior.

Thanks again...Bob
