I ran across this beauty net surfing. The owner said it's a 1968 Starcraft but knowing little about them, I'm wondering. The hull is fiberglass, not aluminum. It has the Buick based 225 V6, good compression, and a stringer outdrive. The sliding hardtop is what particularly interests me. Anyone know anything about these boats? Is it a Starcraft? Is it rare? I can't find any information about this boat anywhere. I think I can buy it for $400...which makes it worth buying if just for parts. I just wouldn't want to scrap-out this boat. Thanks for your help.

Starcraft fiberglass boats are everywhere on the West Coast. What is the name on the emblems of the boat? Lots of builders made models nearly identical to this - Glufstream being one of them.

Looks like an Aristocraft Nineteen built in Alpharetta Georgia by the Turner family. They made alot of that model of boat in the late 60's up through maybe the early 80's.

I'm sure you're right...it's an Aristocraft. Those little round "vents" above the transom are a dead giveaway. I guess the guy just doesn't know what he has. OK then, are these decent boats? Pros/cons? I figure it's got to be worth $400.

Capt in your / our region $ 400 would be a steal for $400 & trl .
Not many of them had a sliding hardtop. Yes the MARQUE club Aristo - Craft of the ACBS , built in Atlanta . Bill Turner family .
A half dozen of these go to the Lake Chartese show in your region.
www.aristocraftboats.com/
Blue Ridge chapter of the ACBS out of north Georgia should
always be searching for these. They came in many colors. MIRACLE Photography has done all the chapter ACBS shows for many years.
LINK here ,you will see many ARISTO HARDTOPS. Each pic not able to

I will guess that an Aritocraft will have MORE value than a StarCraft.

She looks nice and she's sitting a nice trailer.

Well, I suspect that the point has been rendered moot. The seller seems to have evaporated...possibly an alien abduction. I guess that deal really was out of this world!

Going on a road trip this weekend to return Jim Fernandez's Custom Craft. I'll keep my eyes peeled for fins sticking out of barns.
