TOPIC: bimini/convertable top

I am looking for someone that builds bimini tops. everything I see is too wide. the narrowest tops I can find are 50+". they won't fit between the fins and lay on the splashwell deck. I might be able to get tube and bend myself but I'd like this to look proffesional.

IF you want to get one by mail from San Antonio, I know of a Tejana who will make ANYTHING that you want in fabric or leather. - Terri is NOT cheap but she does GREAT custom work.

I bought an old bimini top frame that was a little too wide so my plan is to "section" it. I'm going to cut a few inches out of the middle and put new tubing inside to reinforce it. (It was cheap so if I screw it up I wont be out very much.)

If you are planning on making one... sectioning an old one might be easier. Then you can have the canvas made locally.

Any marine canvas company can make you a custom Bimini. That is the best way to get the professional look.

I'd call a few upholstery shops.
