TOPIC: 40hp Scott Atwater free to good home

40hp Scott Atwater free to good home 12 years 1 month ago #77573

Hello All,

This Scott Atwater came off my 56 Lone Star project. I don't see myself using it but don't want to through it away either.

My dad's friend bought the motor 20 years ago and had it all gone through mechanically but never got it hooked up. So there it sat in a field for 15 years.

I'm willing to give the whole setup to anyone that would like it for parts or restoration. Including the four blade brass propeller.

I can deliver close by on my end (palletized) but the adopter needs to arange packaging and shipping from Redding, CA.

Oh... I'm tempted. I have 2 Flying Scott 60's and a Scott-Atwater 3.6 now (I wanna be just like vernonfarmer.) When does this go from a hobby to a problem? :)

Well, you might want to do some self evaluation if you find yourself cleaning parts in bed. Lol....

RetroModBoater,

NOPE. You KNOW that you "have a problem" when you rebuild a BigTwin in your living room.
(Ask me how much "marital strife" that causes!= "Weren't real PURTY.")
