TOPIC: Classic looking depth finder???

Classic looking depth finder??? 14 years 7 months ago #6973

I have a 1968 Glasspar Avalon, but it has no depth finder that comes stock with it. im looking to buy one and install it near my throttle so i dont have to drill a hole in the stock dash. i was hoping somebody could help me out and tell me where i could find the most classic looking depth finder that isnt more than 3 inches in diameter. any help would be appreciated.

Humminbird, uniden, and a couple others make small digital gauges that fit in 2 1/8" openings, and are probably the least intrusive that you'll find. They aren't exactly 'classic' looking, but that's a tall order to fill with electronics.

Most of them come with removable trim rings so you can switch from black to white, I have known people to modify those rings (add chrome bezels, etc) so they match thier boats.
