I've seen a couple but never aquired them. One I am pretty sure was a '58 glass slipper. It was back about 20 years ago before I realized what it was. At the time it was justa cool old boat, kinda funky, but I didn't pursue it. It was in a storage rack at an old dealership in Thomasville, Ga.

Some people are like slinkies... Not much good for anything, but they sure are fun to push down the stairs.

Wow that's too cool, an a Slipper no less. I figured they were out there. Do you know if they were a result of forward thinking or poor sales? I know 20 years ago things were different but was a higher price asked for the virgin factor? I know with other collecting it can really add to the price for unused items...thanx

About 20 years ago, someone here in Minnesota found an entire warehouse full of un-rigged boats in Ohio or Indiana. They were mostly wooden lapstrake Cruisers, Inc. boats but there were some others. I don't know the story, but for some reason they were ordered by a dealer or distributor in the 1950s and never rigged and sold.

This party bought 'em all and sold 'em off one at a time

Another person got a few wooden MiloCraft boats in Chicago direct from the old factory. They were unfinished molded veneer hulls. When the company decided to stop making boats and sell boats from other builders, they just stopped, closed the factory doors and walked away. Numerous boats were in various stages of completion. They sat there for 25 years or so.
