Although the last thing that I need at the moment is another project boat, I couldn't pass this beauty up... It has always been one of my favorite boats, and to find one right down the road from me- well, that's just NOT fair... So, It lives at my house now...

She's seen better days- I pulled her out of the weeds after about 15 years sitting there. But, I've seen worse. Most of it is there, too!

I just LOVE those lines... And, Check out that transom and FINS-

I'll be restoring it to original condition in the near future, after I finish my Glasspar...

Andrew, that is quite a boat! I also picked up a 1960 Lake N Sea Caribean Custom last spring... here's a picture of my boat... I would really like to see some pictures of your transom and splash well if and when you get the chance... any pictures you need, I'm happy to help out... cheers!

A: .CONGRATS, your getting to be a fine example of a classic member. Can never have enough classic trailers. Interesting History on those models.

are these things rare? there is one here in ne. ohio , but it is in alot worse shape than the op's post.
it is missing the wind shield and the rub rail and the trailer is sunk in the ground, i have some pictures of the boat but not the trailer

It is my understanding that they are fairly rare, especially certain years and models... Do you know anything about it? Year, model, size?

Looks like a Caribbean to me- And it's a 58 or 59, since it has the Parson's Corp. logo on the stern. Looks like most of it, other than the windshield, is there, though- But I'd be willing to bet the floors/stringers/transom have some rot in them...

I could use that dash plate- I'm missing mine :)

You may want to consider going ahead and getting in touch with them now, I've missed out on several good deals lately by procrastinating and waiting, then they're GONE! A lot of this stuff isn't getting any easier to find. (You can still stop by in August, go treasure hunting. ;) ) Not trying to be pushy, just a thought......

Great looking boat, Rick! I'd love to see more photos of it.

Does anyone know anything about the floors and stringers in these boats?? I was cleaning it up a little today, and found my floors to be very solid... They don't appear to be 'glassed plywood- I think that they are some kind of fiberglass sheet perhaps. My reason for thinking that is when I looked in the drain hole in the transom, I could see light coming through the floor- it is translucent.

I can see the stringers, but can't tell what they are made of- Hopefully someone knows? Hopefully they are not wood, so I don't have to worry about them. If they are, I might have to drill some exploratory holes to check for rot. I'd like to leave the floor in place on this project if I can!!

Thats nice to know- I have the identical windshield on mine, too- Still has the 'taylor' badges on it... Of course, mine is in a BIT worse shape :)

The Lake N Sea Owners Assn web page says that they used taylor Model 272FV and later Model 7217 windshields... Not sure if they use the same model #'s or not now.

retro54, My windshield is the original.I buffed it out
and sprayed the bottom rubber with a coat
of Sem flexable spray, white.I was going to get
new if I wasn't happy with final buff.
