TOPIC: Had a "Doctor Visit", (the famous)

Stopped out at Thoms today. 20 miles from me. "Dr Frankenmerc". He's doing OK, still at the old.."collecting, and wrenching", but he's like me..simple ass getting .."old bones'. His kid, built a new shop, off the "operating room", now theres 4 boats in already. He has to have a dozen boats there, all over, and a hundred motors. (and a ZILLION parts!) I swear, every time I go there, there's not "less stuff", but way MORE! Ya gotta love the "Doc". I have to say, if ya never saw the "8th wonder of the world", well, do it on the bucket list, as a stop at Thoms...(well, he should charge admission!"
Last pic is the Flatty, I got off him. Bare hull me, I riggerd, and did the trailer, while Thom, builtt me a motor over winter 3 years ago? Maybe September, I'm gonna drag it out there, punch off, "Wild Thang"..(ya KNOW damn well, who's gonna lose!)

Oh yeah, that pic him on the phone. and his kid sitting, was building a fence for him. Well, he got a call, and spent 20 minutes, telling someone..a Merc prob..he spent time there, for free.."here's what ya need to do....." ya .."gotta love the "Doc"..as I sure do.....

I too have spent time on the phone with Thom. He has unselfishly answered my rookie naive questions. I am yet to shake his hand. But soon.

Thank you for the report on Thom, Robbie! I've been kinda worried about him lately, but I know sitting at a keyboard got to be quite painful for him. Great to see he's doing well, and doing what he enjoys most!

i have seen many,many great posts about dr frankenmerc,i could use a great doctor,lol.
i have never met this great legend,and unfortunatly have never had the pleasure of chatting to him,but hopefully i get the chance soon.
i would love to hear the great stories he must have,heres to you doc,john

Thanks for the update on the Doc, so glad to see him in his natural surroundings (complete with surgical gloves).

He's ALWAYS got on "surgical gloves" I guess once ya get used to them, ya "gotta hav'em!" Me, I'm lost and naked without "mechanix gloves". Gotta do what ya gotta do, long as something gets done!

Glad to hear he's doing well. I was worried also. I need to send him an E-mail anyway, I'm overdue.

Good to know Thom is doing well again. I visited with him at Mt. Dora show all that weekend and he visited myself and SS here in N. Fla, along with his lovely wife, last year for near a week. He is super nice and super, super good on old Mercs!!!! Here he is with me at Mt. Dora in March!!!

He needs those March.."outta here", vacations. Even when a vacation though, theres gonna be boats and Mercs involved! Its in his blood...
