TOPIC: 1962 SeaKing

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, I have just bought a 1962 SeaKing that is in need of major restoration. I was just looking for a little input from some of you veteran boat guys. It would be much appreciated thanks everyone

acrohde, welcome. any questons that you have just ask. there are alot of people here that help out alot. also check out the glassic library for any info on your boat. and we are like a bunch of kids, so we need pictures. you will have to down size them to post. frog

i THINK? 1962 seakings were made by starcraft,they were sold under the seaking badge by montgomery wards in their catalogs,there are pics in the library like frog said,john

i've got 2 of the 1962's here at the house. one's for parts and the other's my usable project. post some pics when you get a chance, we'd love to see it!

FWIW: there's not a lot about these boats that stands out as super stylish or unique. if you sink a lot of money and time into the restoration, you're not very likely to recoup the majority of your investment if you sell it down the road some time. but, if it speaks to you and resale value isn't a huge concern, then have at it! whatever you choose to do with it, be sure to have fun!
