Picked up a new tow truck today.
1989 F450 Supper duty 1&1/4 Ton...
Maybe this will do all I need it to for some of the big boats here.

THAT oughta get the SeaRay (and bout anything else) to the ramp! You go girl. Okay, let's start a pool, I'm betting it's in the paint booth within six months (it IS the busy season for her or it wouldn't take near that long!). Gas or Diesel?

Boy, that sure is a nice truck John. Makes my little 4 cylinder GMC Canyon look like a sand box toy. Sheeeesh!

LOL Mark, yes. your right. It's getting a paint job, some chrome and some other things to make it look no so much newer, but better and custom. it's a 7.3L 1 and 1/4 ton Diesel. 150K on the truck. It's still a baby.

First Call up old J.C Whitney.

Get rid of the pipe type nef bars and get a set of chrome running boards that go part way up the front finders and then thin into fender guards with lights.

Chrome brush guard with a set of lights, and a bar grill. Put some mild twin side by side hood scoops on the hood. Lots of lights across the bed window guard bar. Maybe a set of low profile yellow wrecker bar lights and a jet black paint job with some airbrushed flames. Then to top it off a set of White letter tires to finish it up.

AND VALA!

A boat tow truck for Heather.
But I still love My GMC 2500 now, don't get me wrong.

lol,thanks frank its my baby.
heather wow those are both nice trucks seeing your gmc makes me miss my chevy pickup, but i only had a 4.8 in it,it pulled ok but i needed i bigger motor and deeper gears, this has 410s in it,but man the gas mpg is around 9 to 10 in town.,whats in your gmc,and hows the mpg?it sure is a beauty.
your ford will look great if it comes out even half as nice as the boats you do,i like black with flames.

My GMC is rated to tow (I think) 2300#s, comes with a factory tow package and posi-traction, and gets 22-23 mpg.

Heather, hope you haven't placed that order with JC Whitney yet. Look for the "Brown" truck to be delivering a package in a couple days, got a little present on the way to you. I know it gets foggy around the lake sometimes at night........... ;)

Now that's a truck!!!!

And 2 Mark S.. Ok Looking for the brown!
Some one asked about mileage. looks like about 24 MPG, no load first try.
.
I cleaned it up this evening... Turned out nice. No longer pink!

It's still getting a paint job but for now, I can drive it without the strange looks.

Such as, "HEY! Look at the girl in the big pink tuck!"

not to white trash looking now.

since we were talking big trucks, check out the truck i had in my driveway yesterday, its a "telebelt"concrete conveyer truck, this is the 1st time i ever saw one,wow what a truck.
a regular concrete truck feeds it and it extends up to 110 feet ,thanks to it i finaly got my porch poured.
