Just picked up this boat Friday for $600.00. Advertised as a 16' 1966 Glastron. The SN, 105211, makes her a '65. The model # is 160 MB. The interior is intact and has a center console and a factory stereo. Is it a Thunder Jet?

Classic Glastron Owners Association website says Thunder Jet. 1965 catalog on the site has a picture.

It came with the original Johnson 100hp Golden Meteor Electramatic motor that runs but needs a tune-up.

Not sure what she's really worth but the guy's wife said it's me or the boat. I think I may have scored on this one!

Center console Glastron? Running 100hp Meteor? If the Electric shift works, you DEFINITELY scored!!!!!!!

You scored.. definately. I know they had a center console model like that called "Jet Flite", but not sure about the Thunder Jet model. I've been hunting one for 15 years now and can never find one close enough to me that I could afford.

Some people are like slinkies... Not much good for anything, but they sure are fun to push down the stairs.

I'm pretty sure that the guy had no idea what he had sitting in his yard. I've seen a gutted one on Craigslist in northern Calif. for a grand. The boat appears to be complete with the exception of the little rubber step pads on the gunnels. Wish I could find some pix of a restored one, the Glastron ads don't show enough of a close-up to be sure it's not missing some tiny bits.
