LOOKING AT BUY A BOAT WITH THIS EVINRUDE BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT THE YEAR OF THE MOTOR. IT 80HP

I'm guessin she's a 66' model Under the cowling the model number will be stamped on the block. Not sure where though.

i was thinking some where around there also but the owner does not know much about them and cant kind the #'s. i looked on OLD-OMC.DE and still cant find info or pictures of this model. thanks

With model number and HP you should be able to find the year.

Model number and serial number will be on the transom bracket.

Yep what Andreas said. Should be on a little plate riveted to the transom bracket on the left side when looking at the bracket from inside the boat. Marineengine.com will also tell you what year it is by typing in the serial number you get off the plate.
