Help Restore my 1965 Cobia sea queen cuddie 12 years 9 months ago #56486

I use to restore old motorcycle but needed new toy to play with so I traded my 1979 Honda GL1000 Gold wing that I got new evenup for a 1965 Cobia Sea Queen Cuddy with 1975 115 hp. Johnson that hasn't run in 5 yrs.

The 1979 on the bottom of the photo is what we thought the motor was!
I painted the boat with the computer to see what it would look like the boat is all white with 2 red stripes around the bottom!
what I need help with is finding parts for the boat:
windshild bow rail rear side rails a 1958 Gold & White 50 hp. Johnson seaking any help ?

HI 65SQ. First I would research your Johnson. Check the model number & serial number. Look for Bombdier, they now own Johnson. If you need a parts catalog, they can point you in the right direction. Be sure you check out Craig's list in your area. There are a lot of resourses for you to start working on. Good luck and Good boating.

Well gang I found out that my motor is a model: 115ES69 built in 1969
found boat battery still holds a charge ! 6 6gal. tanks one fuel line
wires look good. As soon as weather brakers will put in bucket of water and see if will turn over. will let you know whats next.

Just found the plate on the transom of the Cobia ( 1967 Sea Queen ) and the hp rate is 110 ! So are thay going too shoot me for 5 hp over the limit ? Now have to find a way too get black bumps off deck so we can sand and paint?
