Can anyone suggest where to look for the HID on a early 70's Glaspar Citation ?

It probably doesn't have one. Hull Identification Numbers (HIN) were not required prior to August 1972. It took several years for some manufacturers to get in line and put the numbers on. For instance my 72 Sea Ray doesn't have one either. If it had one it would be in the upper right corner of the transom. If it's not there it doesn't have one.

PS that's on the outside of the transom

My 1975 Glasspar Cutlas 191 (built in December of 1974) has it as he said. It is molded into the outside of the starboard side of the transom and is down a few inches below the rub rail.

Thanks so much guys... sure nuff.. there is no number to be found. and that's ok . On the transfer form there is a box to check if you can not find a Hull number. Paper work is done. And the Lic# will go back on the boat in the spring.
