TOPIC: Old Redfish Boat

Old Redfish Boat 12 years 11 months ago #54487

I have an old Redfish boat that belonged to my dad that I want to sell on craigslist. Does anyone have any idea what year and model this is. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm going to guess it's a 62 or 63 model if that is the original Johnson engine.

Does this look like it? From a 1961 catalog in Glassic Library. Might be worth surfing through the Red Fish section

Yep, that's it. Don't know how I missed that one when I was looking through there earlier today. And my mom also found the paperwork from the last time it was registered. It's a 1962 model according to the paperwork from that. It has the original Johnson motor that's a 40 H.P. as well as I remember. Any idea what this thing is worth if anything, LOL? It needs tires to move it. And good guess on the year Jim L.

Looks like it might be in decent shape with some cleanup. If the motor is runable and starts and there are no hull problems I would ask somewhere in the $250 to $500 range. Power wash it, put on some tires, clean it up, change the lower unit oil, start it up and if it runs you can ask in the higher range and negotiate. If you leave it "as is" keep you fingers crossed for someone that might be interested.
