My latest Gauge column for the ACBS was titled "Where Are the Sailboats?" Last summer I found an early 60's Celebrity on Long Island; cold molded mahgogany. They eventually went to glass. A few months ago I had a call from the Michigan Maritime Museum wanting to know if I knew of an early fiberglass Celebrity that would be available. Nope, the only one I knew of was wood. Well, this afternoon a fellow not 15 miles from me calls me and wants me to haul away a 1967 Celebrity; fiberglass. All glass hull and topside. Wood trim and wood spars. Everything there, but needs a lot of work. It's an amazing thing.
