TOPIC: Got a rather odd email today...(boat web related)

there is another website I found months ago that was more directed to me and CC locally, it's name and it's HTTP address are as fallows.

www.tkis.com/boaters/phpbb2/index.php

I remember "trying" to check it out way back when last year or so but every forum thread was locked and the site seemed to be abandon.

well today I get an email from them stated I received a reply to a post...which made me think...what post, ok so I went to it and I got this flurry little system message....

Dear, houston!

Spam sending from your computer was detected.
We highly recommend you to check your computer and perform online virus check at our site immediately: anti-trojans.webcindario.com/online-scanner/
If you do not pass this test we will have to delete your account and forward a complaint to your ISP with attached log file (your IP address, etc.).

let EVERYONE know not to let their system scan yours (which you should never do anyways) because in this case this nice little scanner will put a Trojan on your computer which after I read up on it didn't sound very nice.

This WNY site is as dead as it was way back then btw
