Anyone remember that special windshield brace I fabricated? Well, I got another idea today for the side ones.

The idea here: to show you that it's not all that hard to come up with a nice customized piece for your boat. If anyone wants more details, just chime in.

See the first 8 pics. They're of the 1st center windshield brace I made up. I made the wood plug (the original prototype), then took it to a foundry and had them cast it in aluminum.

Next... the side braces I came up with using only 1 old discarded part. An aluminum skeg (fin) from an old boat. There was enough left over to make a small fin for my hydrycycle to boot@!

The last pic is a photoshopped placement of these side pieces.

Enjoy

And the lame photoshop job showing where they go.

or, I guess you could use them as bookends if you wanted too. I dunno.

You'd have to be more specific. The large center piece was a limited production run for the Skagit Owners. Only two were made and cost 150 each. The side pieces were just additions to the center piece and I was merely showing what I did to make them.

If you're interested in the center pieces, I'd have to get with my foundry to find out another pricing schedule for another run.

OK, No it's not the parts shown I was thinking about. I may have misunderstood your post. I thought you were saying if someone came up with a mold you had someone who could run small amounts. I.E. to get 1 part made you would need to have 20 or 30 made. If it was a part that could not be found, this would be a logical solution. I think I just did not understand what you meant in that post. Sorry.
