I am a Lake Boy, many of you are, and know what I am talking about. The Philosophy? 1) no man or woman can own too many boats. 2) there is no bad job if you are standing on your boat, or in the water. 3) if you can walk a straight line on dry land you are not spending enough time on the water.
That said, I am also a Starbucks employee and love to represent my great company. The company values, people, leadership and work-life balance is amazing, I am proud to work for them. We also sell happiness...
On Sunday the 4th of September me and some of my buddies decided to serve coffee to our neighbors...in the middle of the lake. I rigged up the Aircraft Carrier (my pontoon boat)with all the necessary equipment to serve pour-over style coffee. Slow at first, we started to get quite the crowd, we had customers in kayaks, ski boats, pontoons and even a couple in inner tubes! At one point I was making coffee as fast a I could, it didn't hurt that we had a half gallon of Kahlua for extra flavor. We ended up giving away almost 100 cups of coffee, many cinnamon rolls and muffins too!
It was a great way to get to know some of my neighbors, yes even girls in bikinis. Next year; Coffee Nudges for the adults, hot chocolate for the kids and goodies for the dogs.

Ingenious use of an oar, the other one is alot of work.
A wooden runabout full of women pushed by an old Mark and getting Starbucks coffee, life on the water is gooooooood! ;)

I think that's awesome Headley, "random acts of kindness" bring the strangest looks to peoples faces! (Followed by a smile, which is the best part.) :P

How fun!

Do you have a permit for that? and a food and beverage licesne? That's what would happen if one attempted to do this on Lake Minnetonka, MN!
