TOPIC: American MARC Baroda

American MARC Baroda 13 years 10 months ago #41490

I bought a '61 American MARC Baroda. It's a fine looking old fiberglass runabout. Anyone own a Baroda? What became of American MARCs and the boat molds?

Welcome,

There is a bit of history in the Library section here. American MARC came on strong, wanting to make their mark in the boating industry. Bought up a couple of existing boat buiders, had plans for branch factories in New England and Florida. Made claims they would build 18,000 boats annually. They came on strong but fizzled out all in about a 2 year period.

Who knows what happened to their tooling. Probably broken up into tiny bits 49 years ago.
