I read an artical a week or so ago about gel coat resto,
It went over the proper type polishers by part number and mfg
And the type of compound or wet sand paper with dish soap ?
I can not re-find the thread. Can someone please point me in the right direction.
Thanks In advance.

Robert, if you'll click the "Research" button in the toolbar at the top of the page in the header, there are several good articles in the Restoration section there on this subject.

I think this is the tread you are looking for Robert.

I followed the Professor's advice and can tell you while time consuming it works. I have had numerous people in the neighborhood ask if I had painted the hull and what product only to tell them it was the original gel coat.

Yes!My thought is that there was a reason someone painted over the original gel coat. Unless the paint is peeling, flaking, crazing, etc sand, fill, seal, prime and topcoat with your favorite color. That said here is a thread that discusses some options. Good luck.
