TOPIC: idiot lights

I have a new question: this being my first Glassic, some things are pretty obscure to me. On the dashboard, either side of the light switch are two indicator lights. One red and one green. Sometimes the red is on and sometimes the green. I have no idea what they are for, however I'm sure some the experienced members out there will know right away. Can anyone help me with this?
