I hate to admit it, I'm torn.
Bought the boat with the intention of parting it out and at worse sending her to the dump. After taking a closer look and inspection;
the lil skimate is in not to bad a shape.
Took her to the carwash this morning and spent four bucks cleaning out the floor. Had a gent stop by and ask where I got the boat.
His comment was, "it looked very similar to his dad's old boat."
There is something odd about those moments.
Something that comes out of left field.
For me, it was similar to invoking nostalgia, without trying.
I digress.
I'm toying with a plan.
Clean her up, sand down the top deck, paint it, throw in some modest seats, paint up the trailer, try to find a running shorty or heck even put the ole sea king on her. Might be able to turn her for an ok price.
or
take her out to the res and attempt to invoke nostalgia, on purpose.
All that to say, she deserves better than the dump.
For those who were hoping for pics, I apologize
The morning was filled with a long task list.
Plus, as the day wore on, a cold front decided to make it's presence known, along with the obligatory snow. Fortunately, was able to get everything covered before it started falling in earnest. I will admit tho, it felt like I was trying to outrun it.
My son and I succeeded, but pics were the price.
Next warm spell we get, I'll do my best to get some.
