TOPIC: 1968 Chris craft transmission

1968 Chris craft transmission 15 years 2 months ago #24257

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me.
I have a 1968 Chris craft sea-V corsair that I am restoring. The boat has a chevy 238 V8 engine and I believe it has a paragon transmission but have no idea what model, it has flagship moulded into the casing. Could anybody help please? Also any ideas where I may obtain a manual for this transmission?

Regards
Mark

flagship marine was typically Owens but 283's were a very popular motor in CC's and other boat mfg's of the time in both Corvette config as well as standard Bel Air. 283 CID motor would typically have had a borg warner 71c transmission. post a photo of it....
