TOPIC: Have you seen this bezel used?

Good day to all

This bow light and bezel pictures are of Lee Wangstad's Thunderhawk.

My question: I have seen this bezel used as something else but I cannot remember where or on what it was tied/welded/glued or nailed to.
A couple of thoughts have been a cap, inspection plate, hinged door.

Any idea's
