TOPIC: Long Time Visitor New member of Forum

Glad to be here. I have been looking at this web site probably about as long as it has been on the web. It is a very infromative site and I have referred many people to it.

I am retired USCG. I was enlisted, and officer, and a civilian engineer over my 34 years with the USCG. I spent 25 of that in Boating Safety. 20 of which was in standards working with boat builders and manufacturers to get it right. After I retired I started a web site for boat builders ( and anyone else) called New Boat Builders Home Page. newboatbuilders.com

I have been around small boats (and a few big ones) all my life, both power and sail. I have a particularly fondness for classic boats from the 50's and 60's. I have also built a few wood boats. So I hope I can make a useful contribution.

I haven't been able to create a profile yet but will as soon as I get confirmed.

We can always use people like you with a lot of years of experience in the boating field. Especially the safety part.

How do I get the web master to let me create a profile? It still says I haven't confirmed my e-mail (which I did) and unlocked the profile.

Welcome Ike, glad to have you join us. I believe any of the moderators can confirm you, I know Ken has done some in the past. I'm sure someone will get on it ASAP. Great Info on your site, BTW.

I still can't create a profile. I can read forums, and make posts but the profile feature is still locked out.

Thanks to Dave and Ken. Dave notified ken and Ken fixed it. I now have profile and signature. Now I feel like a real member of this forum.
