Classic 1950's 8ft Batwing fiberglass race boat and original trailer. Powered by a 6 hp, 1958 Flying scott, last ran 5 yrs ago. Boat is in need of basic repair - new cables for controls, etc. Hull is solid.

If only on this side of the U.S. I would be totally all over that.. I have a good friend with a Feathercraft Firefly... and this would look great cruising next to him!

WOW - it's a "Runt" SeaFury! Good thing I don't want it. You East Coast guys crack me up, looking way out here for boats!! I used to do that too, 'till I ended up with a yard full of 'em. If anyone is truly serious about getting this boat, contact me, as I have friends that live in Coos Bay. We can always network between folks to move the boat Eastward.

You've got me thinking now. The wife couldn't bitch really since I could almost store it under the deck!!!!! Or just keep it in the back of my pickup. Of course she'd still complain about the money I suppose.

It's small enough that it could probably be hidden easily, too... Toss a tarp over it, and then one day while doing some yard work 'discover' it with the wife nearby ("Oh, Honey- Wow- Look at this! I didn't see this here when we bought the place! What a find!")

That networking idea sounds very interesting. I am up in New England found a boat I wanted in Washington State. Just no way to transport across country. Boat was owned by elderly couple just wanted it restored, it needed a lot of work. Not worth the cost of transport or any real way of doing it.

Just checked the ad, that's a 60hp on it. Divorce might not be a bad option. Then I could move to the west coast and get this one since I couldn't have the Volksboat.

I'd love to try that someday but with my wife after she is done with me I wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
