TOPIC: Lake Bowen North South Carolina

Drove today to check out Lake Bowen I was told about. It's not to far from us, about 17 miles. It's beautiful there. Was about 64 today at the lake. Lots of boats out. Looks like a good place to cruise, ski, fish, etc. There was sign stating motor limit- 115h.p. outboard, 190h.p.-inboard/outboard. There was signs saying it was owned by Spartanburg water company and you have to have a permit to boat there so I have to see what that's about. Lot's of nice homes on the lake with huge docks. Funny thing was a sign with the rules the only odd one to me was no boats allowed on lake from midnight till sun-up?? To me that might suck if I lived on the lake. When we lived on the river we use to go night fishing late alot. No big deal for pleasure boating. I haven't checked to see just how big it is , but it looks like it's a fairly good size which you could explore quite a few times without getting bored. I wish I would have remembered my camera. Next time, with the boat ! Any info on any other lakes greatly appreciated, new to area. Thanks, Jim.
