TOPIC: Classic 50 stuck driveshaft

Classic 50 stuck driveshaft 1 month 1 week ago #148938

Hi i have a classic 50 45hp and i am unable to remove the lower unit because the driveshaft is stuck in the powerhead. So far i have tipped the engine upside down, drilled a hole in the midsection so I could spray penetrating oil (kroil) on the driveshaft hoping it would work its way into the splines. It sat that way for about a month then i used wedges to try to seperate it with no luck. I then put it back on the boat and brought it to the dock and with all the nuts removed i ran it and shifted in and out of gear hoping the vibration would loosen it. Still no luck. Any ideas?
