TOPIC: What adhesive? Metal "foil" insignia to gelcoat

I have a 63 MFG Westfield and one of the thin metal foil MFG/shark insignias has come off. It was on the starboard aft topside. I'm wondering what kind of adhesive to try to put it back on? And how the hell can I "clamp" it to get it nice and flat? It's not too beat up but it is a little creased and has a short tear in one spot. Thanks.

I always used a double faced tape. you can get it at most auto stores or go to a auto shop that sells body paint etc.
it's the same stuff they use to replace emblems on cars and it's just about impossible to remove without scraping.
Here's an example but not necessarily what you are looking for.
You can put the tape on the back of your emblem and then trim around the letters before sticking it to the boat. Make sure it goes where you want because it's a b to get off.
