TOPIC: When is fiberglass unusable for boat repair

When is fiberglass unusable for boat repair 3 years 6 months ago #144687

Have some fiberglass that was given to me . Some of it is stained does that mean it's going bad. Didn't know if he was giving it to me just to get rid of it or does it look useable?

I'm no fiberglass expert but it's probably just stained becasue it was near something else that caused the stain. I think you shold be fine using it.

It's probably fine, but that depends on what caused the stain. If it's an oil based stain, it may cause a problem. I would suggest mixing a little resin and applying it to the stained area to insure the cloth absorbs it. Cheers
