TOPIC: Dolphin Sportcraft

Dolphin Sportcraft 4 years 1 month ago #143992

Hey guys. I've been looking for this particular boat for years and years. My father had one for about 15 years when I was growing up. He lived on Fox Lake, IL and we'd bomb around in this thing all weekend. Never a dull moment either, with people either admiring it or the opposite haha. We had plans to do a father-son restoration on it. He bought a brand new powder coated trailer, purchased a newly re-built Merc 3.0. He stored it for the winter and that's when the thievery occurred. The boat was launched just to get the new trailer. The boat was pulled out and destroyed. I've been on the hunt for 10 years. Anyone with info on these?

My father owned Dolphin Sportcraft and I grew up helping build boats. (I probably waxed the molds when making your father's boat). I got rid of my last dolphin boat about 10 years ago, a 19' bow rider that would do 62 mph. My father has since passed on and I haven't seen a dolphin besides mine in about 25 years. Thank you for the memories. The model I would love to have is the model before yours which was a tunnel boat that would do over 70 mph. I was looking for that one when found yours.
