Please help me choose a boat. I've been on the water all my life. So I decided to buy a boat. After a long search, I stopped on the boat Bayliner 285 2yachts.com/ru/boat/443020-bayliner-285-cruiser . According to the internal layout, it is the most optimal for me, but it only has an open cabin, on which the awning is stretched. Therefore, in bad weather, you can only walk under the awning. Please tell us if anyone has any experience using the Bayliner 285 or at least operating a boat with an open wheelhouse.
It is believed that the awning reduces visibility. How significant is this? Do I have to look for a boat with a closed wheelhouse? There is such a boat - Bayliner 246, but its internal layout is worse.
