It seems like the use cases would be relatively few. I don't think it's road legal, so I wonder if they have a custom trailer that you can drive it onto? Otherwise, it's only helpful if your storage & launch points are in very close proximity, like dry storage near the ramp, or as they suggest on their site "the garage at your beach house."

I suppose if you could afford a beach house right on the ocean, you could afford one of those amphib things. Better yet, make friends with a guy who owns both. Personally, I'd prefer a house with a private dock berthing an 80' Trumpy.

Every year at the Port Townsend Woodenboat Festival they have a couple of Trumpies (of course not this year as it's going virtual) . Every time I see one up close I get a serious case of boat envy. They are really magnificent.

But then that happens a lot around beautiful boats.
