TOPIC: Glasspar Seafair Seats

Glasspar Seafair Seats 5 years 1 month ago #141399

Ahoy to Everyone! Im rebuilding a 1968 Glasspar Seafair. Does anyone know what the rear seat configuration looked like? This is an Outboard stern with an unusually long splashwell. If it were a foot shorter I'd have some dance floor on deck! I'll have Photos to share shortly.

Hey Retired 1, boy did you come to the right place!. Lots of Glasspar owners here. Specially Terry D.
There is a Glasspar website also which might help out, just Google it.

I'm sure someone will pick up on this quest pretty soon so hang in there.
Welcome aboard and share your experiences. Surf around this site for a wealth of info. There are professional experts here along with shade tree guys, like myself, who are one family sharing the same love of boating.

Hello Retired1 and welcome to FiberGlassics.

The 1968 Seafairs were built by Larson which bought out Glasspar in 1966. I saw a 1968 Sedan in Tavrares FL a few years back although unfortunately I did not get any good shots.

You can just see the top of rear seats of the 68 on the starboard of the blue 1960 Mariner in these shots.

And yeah please post pictures of your Glasspar.

Thanks,
Terry

Most common in outboards is likely a bench seat along the splashwell.

I dug up some shots of a 1970 Seafair I found online some years back.

Looks like the same seat as on the 68

Thanks,
Terry

RETIRED1 , WELCOME,, I retired many years ago , to enjoy our boating, and cycle hobbies.... We were on the east coast of Fla from 93 to 2006 , then to Chattanooga, Tenn, I had two Seafair Sedans since in Tenn, Terry above got you the correct pic of the 67 - 68 style with the individual movable corner rear seats, with the Flip -Up cocktail table shelf in the middle. .. Group pic was at Mt Dora, Fla march show.
