Does anybody know the taper size on the 1 Vollrath steering wheel? I want to get one and mount it on a standard 3/4 keyed taper hydraulic Baystar helm. Also anybody got a nice vintage steering wheel that will fit this helm?

Unless yours is different from all that I have seen - the spindle diameter and taper was standardized - and is the same today as it was 50 plus years ago. I have a number of Vollrath wheels and the hubs are the same as other brand wheels

Thank you for that information - with this I think I will seek out a nice flat back antique steering wheel to fit on the BayStar 3/4" tapered keyway shaft hydraulic steering system I just purchased for my build. I really want the old school look but the better performance of modern mechanicals. Anybody got a nice wheel for sale?
