TOPIC: Steering cable question?

Steering cable question? 5 years 4 months ago #140635

Can anyone that has done it give me a rough estimate of how much cable it takes to re-run the steering cables. '59 Dorsett Catalina so 17'. Minimum would be 35' for left and right. Would 50' be sufficient? I hate to order a whole 100' roll when I only need half that.

TIA

I would think that 50' would be plenty. The 35' you figured, a few feet to wrap the drum on the wheel and a couple more for hook ups in the rear. I am sure someone else will help if I am wrong.
