Wow, that's an elegant restoration. More photos, please. I'd like to see what the cabin looks like.

What year is this boat? Did you treat the windshield with some tint or is that a reflection in the photo?

Thanks for the new photos, Commando. I'd like to see what you've done with the interior. I'm at the start of a Delmar restoration. I was wondering what you did with the wood panels inside the cockpit and/or the cabin? I'm also curious about the stern on yours. I don't see that extended platform in any of the brochures.

The interior of my boat is at the same stage as yours boat. I want to finish the outside first then do the interior. As for the stern I extended the boat 16” to make the pod so I can hang the motor outside to give me room to make a bench seat at the transom.

That's an impressive modification. Could be a swim platform. I was briefly considering building in a splash well but I was concerned about crowding the cockpit. You won't need a splash well!

This is the interior of my boat, set up the console and glass it in and glass the floor today also , I still have the mold for the extensions if you want it. this is what I have for the interior inside the cabin , 2 side pieces, the other half of the shelf under the windows and 2 90% that fit at the top corner behind the console . Lucky for me it still in good shape.

Wow, it's all coming together! I have enough wood pieces to make a pattern for the side panels, Good to see what they look like as a whole pice. I don't recognize the piece in the center that I think you are calling a shelf. Where does that fit?

Where was your steering wheel mounted? Mine was in the starboard console. I don't see any mounting holes in yours.

Did you close off the vent under the front windshield? I see that the front dash has openings where the air would come through.

You do great work. Thanks for answering my many questions.

I close the hole up and that middle piece is the other half of the shelf under the front windows . I also redone the console to with new plywood so it’s new that’s why there’s no hole , the steering wheel will be on stud side again.

Just watch how I do mine to original so you can follow and do it to your boat if you like.

I'll be watching, Commando. Your progress is inspiring.

Still stuck on the shelf board. Seems to be tapered on the rounded edge, much like my dashboard. I'll have to wait to see how you install it.

How did you do the wood panels? Looks flush with the hull. Is it a decal? Veneer? Looks great.

Wow commando, your Delmar is looking great! It's attention to detail that makes the difference and you're clearly paying attention!
I like the idea of the "swim platform", but I'm curious as to how you built it strong enough to hang the motor.
Do you have any pics during construction?
Thanks
Cheers
Bill

YES. I'm wondering also. Need some pictures. Looks like the motor is hanging lower than normal, wondering how it will handle.
