TOPIC: Seat Cushion Tag Repros

Seat cushion tag reproductions are done for my Lake n Sea and extras are available. Geoff Reynolds sent me pictures of an original and they were copied. Tags are printed on waterproof polyester sail cloth and arrive adhered to a low tack backing, pre scored and ready to stitch on. Could be used for any restoration as these were common in the 60's.

They are available; a set of 5 labels for $20 including postage or 2 sets for $35.

Original fill was kapok as called out on the original tag. You can certainly use standard or closed cell foam or make an inner case to fill with kapok filled plastic bags. My seat cushions shells will be made at 3” thick and the seat backs at 2”. The tags can be used for 2” or 3” thickness as the printed box is 2”h x 3-1/4”w and there is plenty of white material around the perimeter for stitching it on.

Cool. Great information for the purest who can either do the sewing themselves or give them to the upholstery shop for their work.
