TOPIC: ok believe it or not boat seats

ok believe it or not boat seats 6 years 2 months ago #137899

ok i have finally gotten my seats back, i think they look good. now to get the tank into them then install the whole thing in the boat , i have to put the tank in then fit the seats in the only way i could get the tank in was to go from below the seats one unit. now i have 1 inch nylon blocks under the seats to keep them off the deck and to allow water to pass thru. look at the seats and tell me the backs are not too high. i think they fit fine but i want some other opinions ..
i know they look like pontoon seats but to get seats in it at all i went this way. i dont know how much it would be to shorten the backs but i will if needed. i think they are fine they fit i get my tank in and go sailing ..

Sweet. IMHO They might be a tad too high but it all depends on what you want. comfort and storage dictates you are right on, custom look, could be lower backs or cut the back boards to follow the height of the gunwales. Most older smaller boats have the seats lower to the deck so you have to either sit with your knees up to your chin or stretch your legs out if there's room.

I like the color match.

beautiful upholstery job. Reminds me I need to do something about the seats in my boat.
